Haute Mahjong was born from a shared love of design, connection, and creating beautiful experiences around the table. Founded by Josilyn and Jackie, the brand was created with the belief that mahjong can feel as expressive and stylish as the women who play it.

We created Haute Mahjong with the goal of designing sets that feel fresh, playful, and sophisticated, with a focus on moody, muted color palettes and thoughtful details.

What began as a creative idea quickly turned into a passion for bringing a new perspective to the game we love. Every set is designed to feel special — both on the table and in your home.

the design process

Our tiles and mats begin as original hand-drawn artwork created by talented artists. From each motif to every small detail, every design is thoughtfully illustrated to give each collection its own unique personality and feel. While reimagining mahjong through our own creative lens, we also wanted to preserve traditional elements of the game as a way to honor and respect the culture and history behind it.

Every Haute Mahjong set is thoughtfully developed through multiple rounds of sampling, refinement, and hands-on edits to ensure each detail feels just right. From color matching and tile layering to artwork placement and finishing touches, we take time perfecting every element before production begins.
